The puppies are teething, and chewing on everything from slippers to the sofa. Some experts say that giving puppies an ice cube to gnaw on will help with the teething pain and irritation. I took the puppies onto the porch and gave them each an ice cube. Buttercup pounced on hers and took it down on the grass to nom. Blaze (above), the brilliant dog she is, took her ice cube and “buried” it behind the dog food canisters. She then plopped herself down on the bottom step and began chewing the porch.
The Greater Victoria Animal Crusaders will be accepting applications for Blaze and Buttercup very soon! They are six weeks old and ready for their new homes in a few weeks. Their mum is a black Lab cross, and although the puppies look very Lab-like, we think there may be some German Shepherd and/or possibly Rottweiler. Very smart, loving puppies! So I’m laying in bed watching ‘The Rescuers’ because I’m seven and it’s one of my all time favorite movies ever, and you’re not my real dad and you can’t tell me what to do - when I suddenly thought how Penny would make such a ridiculously adorable Leia - so I got up and sketched her for a painting, albeit half asleep (me, not her) and now I’m going to bed but I wanted to put her on here so I wouldn’t forget about her by the morning.
I love Disney with such unabashed abandon :) ninight x
